With respect to leadership development in the non-profit space, Fieldstone is a bellwether in providing a continuum of programs and services to strengthen the nonprofit community by developing executive leadership, increasing agency capacity, and sustaining a collaborative and vibrant network in San Diego. At the forefront is Janine, recognized as a convener, connector and cheerleader, who has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 30 years.
Janine shares many aspects of the Fieldstone programs, from their Reading Groups, focused on books of leadership, to their Learning Groups, where leadership transition and organizational sustainability are discussed by peers. In total, Fieldstone offers ten different programs and an abundance of resources for non-profits.
We also hear that while leadership excellence is always the goal in transferring knowledge from one generation to the next, Janine does point out that young leaders are dealing with a different set of challenges – all the more reason for conversation, communication and connections with peers and mentors.
